Our Policy

Welcome to the fini.world web site (the “Site”) of Finiliar Studios, Ltd. (“Company”, “We”, “Us” and/or “Our”). This Site is operated by Company and has been created to provide information about our website and mobile applications, including but not limited to “Oom,” our mobile application for conversations and chats (“Oom”) and, other related products and services (together with the Site, the “Services”) to our Service users (“You”, “Your”). This Privacy Policy sets forth Company’s policy with respect to information, including Personal Data and other information, that is collected from you in the course of your use of the Services. To the extent information is (a) associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and (b) protected as personal data under applicable data protection laws, such information is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Personal Data”.

Notice at Collection 

We may collect or process various categories of Personal Data. The section titled “Information Collection and Use” contains information on the categories of Personal Data collected and our disclosure practices. As an overview, we collect identifiers; commercial data; and audio, visual, or similar data.

We collect this information to deliver requested information to you, such as sending you newsletters or legal alerts; process your request for employment; perform services for which we have been engaged; maintain our business relationship with you; respond to your comments or requests for information; enforce any contracts that we enter into with you or the business you represent; or for other business or commercial purposes listed in the “Use of Data” section. We do not sell or share Personal Data. 

We do not collect, use, or disclose Sensitive Personal Data without your consent. You acknowledge and agree that you are providing consent for us to collect your Sensitive Personal Data, when you provide it, by creating of an account with us and by using Oom for a chatting and conversation experience which may involve your uploading of Sensitive Personal Data. 

We will retain the Personal Data listed above for as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which it is collected and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you interact with us through the Services, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information during the course of using the Services or in response to when we ask for certain information, such as when you contact us with inquiries, register for access to the Services or use certain Services. The Services automatically log certain information about use or visits to the Services, such as the number and frequency of visitors, technical information about browsers and devices used to access the Services, and information about crashes or other technical issues. In addition, we and third parties may automatically collect certain information through automated means about your activities over time across the Services. 

The tools that collect this information vary depending on the Services and include technologies such as cookies, web beacons, tags, scripts, pixels, local shared objects (including HTML5 cookies) and software development kits (“SDKs”). These technologies may be included in our web pages, mobile apps, emails, and other digital content. The tools may assign or collect unique cookie IDs or other identifiers associated with your browser or device. The tools may collect information while you are using our Services or while they are running in the background of your device.

We use Amplitude, which is a web analytics service. They use cookies to help us analyze how users use the Services and enhance your experience when you use the Services. You can opt-out of certain features of this service by following the instructions in Amplitude’s Privacy Policy.  The Oom App will use Amplitude for analytics.  Any changes to this vendor will be published immediately.

Wherever Company collects Personal Data, we provide a link to this Privacy Policy. By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data to the Services, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of Company and the authorized third parties referred to herein located in the United States.

Information we obtain from other sources

We receive information about you from other sources and it may be combined with other information about you. For example, we may obtain data from:

Contacts

You may choose to provide us with your friends' contact information as stored on your phone. We ask your permission before getting access to your contacts, and you can still use the App without giving it access to your contacts (though you will have a harder time finding people you know who also use Oom).

If you grant us permission to access information about your contacts, which might include their name, profile picture, and phone number(s), we can notify you if any of your contacts are on Oom and when one of your contacts creates an Oom Account. We also notify your contacts on Oom that you have joined.

We do not store this contact information on our servers. When you open the App, we check to see if any of your contacts are on Oom by running the phone numbers in your contacts to match them with any registered Oom accounts. On our servers, we only store (i) contact information of people you have chats with on Oom and (ii) the phone number of people you have invited to join Oom.

We run an algorithm that uses this contact information to suggest which of your contacts you might like to connect with on Oom. We do not invite anyone in your contacts to join Oom without your permission.

Third Party Tracking; Do Not Track Signals

We do not use third party tracking technologies, but we may (and we may allow third parties to) use cookies or other technologies to collect information about your browsing activities over time and across different websites following your use of the Services. Our Service currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals and operates as described in this Privacy Policy whether a DNT signal is received. If we do so in the future, we will update and describe how we do so in this Privacy Policy. However, you may elect not to accept cookies by changing the designated settings on your web browser. Please note that some features of our Site may not function without essential cookies.

Non-Identifiable Data

When you interact with Company through the Services, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. Company may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Company affiliates, agents or service providers. The Services may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, and the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.

In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the Services, Company often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. Company does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Services. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data on the Services without their permission.
